Do my subcontractors have to create accounts or learn new software?

Absolutely not. This is the biggest point of friction with other platforms, so we eliminated it entirely. You maintain 100% control of the profiles from your GC dashboard. You create the profiles, and when documents are needed, you have two choices: subcontractors can simply email you their updated documents for you to log, OR you can send them a secure, one-click invitation link. This link allows them to securely upload their own documents directly into their profile without ever needing to create an account or remember a password.

I already use a spreadsheet for this. Why should I switch?

Spreadsheets don't send you alerts when a policy expires. A spreadsheet won't highlight a subcontractor in red when they become a liability. SUBCREWZ actively monitors your data 24/7, instantly grades profiles against your custom compliance rules, and warns you before an expiration causes a work stoppage.

How do the automated alerts work?

The system constantly scans all uploaded documents, licenses, and insurance policies. Starter plans provide a 30-day heads up, while Professional and Business plans provide extended visibility with 90-day warnings. The platform also automatically emails your subcontractors 30, 15, and 7 days before an expiration to remind them to send you their updated paperwork.

Can I customize what makes a subcontractor "Compliant"?

Yes. Every GC has different risk tolerances. In your Account Settings, you can define your own strict non-compliance rules (e.g., automatically marking a sub as non-compliant if their Workers' Comp expires) and select exactly which documents are mandatory for your specific projects.

How long does it take to get my team set up?

Minutes, not days. You can add subcontractors manually with just their name and email, or you can bulk-import your entire existing roster via CSV. Once added, you simply upload their current PDFs and set the expiration dates.

Are there any hidden fees or setup costs?

No. Our pricing is completely transparent and flat-rate based on the number of subcontractors you monitor. There are no implementation fees, no per-user licenses, and subcontractors never pay to be on your roster.

Is subcontractor information secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted using industry standard SSL and securely stored in the cloud. Only your GC account can access and update the profiles of the subcontractors on your roster. There is no public directory.

Can I cancel or change my plan at any time?

Yes! Cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime through the Billing Portal. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades or cancellations start at your next billing cycle. No long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
